ONE SHOP STOP FOR ALL THE STUDENT RESOURCES 

This is a ONE SHOP STOP  for all the initiatives by students for students. This includes classes, volunteer opportunities, programs, etc. Any students can submit their initiative to be put on this site (scroll down to the bottom). 

Financial Literary Program

Ankit Lakkapradaga will be  providing this course to help other students in the Bay Area learn what investing is, the different types of investments, and how you can invest (even if your less than 18 years old) and start making money for yourself. Everything in the course is taught in depth, but still made very easy to understand for everyone.
This course extends over 6 lessons in 6 weeks. He will be hosting these classes from 11am-12 every Saturday, starting from July 25th.

4 week Summer Study 

A free four week course via zoom for grades 6-12 in the CUSD/FUHSD districts on organization, study skills, and other advice that can help students avoid stress in middle/high school. These once a week classes are for anyone; whether you’re a 6th/9th grader nervous to start middle/high school or a senior getting ready for college aps and a heavier course load, this class is designed to help you navigate and enter the remote school feeling more confident and prepared!

ChiCode

ChiCode is a non profit organization founded by Nishi Kaura, Rahul Kaura, Saumya Verma with the goal to motivate students to explore the different aspects of technology. ChiCode offers FREE of cost customized tutorials for students with any computer programming experience level so that students can continue to learn/improve their computer skills. JumpStart Debate Camp

JumpStart Debate Camp will be hosting another free session on Saturday, July 25th from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM for anyone to attend.More details here: https://jumpstartdebate.weebly.com/

6/7 Mathematics-4 week course

Sudisha Kumar is very interested in helping kids develop an interest in mathematics. She put together a 4 week course to enhance kids problem solving skills, enhance their logical thinking, and help them make real-world math connections wherever they go.

The Writers Workshop (Regular Classes)

They offer several different classes/courses on all types of writing. For example, narrative writing, nonfiction, etc. This is completely online, and there are several classes/course options and time slots to choose from.

Translator/Proof Reading Opportunity

Translation Commons is currently in need of volunteers to translate and review short articles and videos from English into several languages (French, Spanish (Spain&Latam), Portuguese (Brazil&Portugal), Russian, Greek, Arabic, Italian)
This is a great opportunity for both less experienced translators wanting to gain experience, and more experienced professionals wanting to contribute to an international volunteering organization.Some of the articles available for translation are going to be used by a community of makers who are doing PPE and other materials to combat COVID-19 spread in places where these supplies are scarce or non-existent.

KoreKloud

KoreKloud is a non-profit, high-school student run, organization. Since the pandemic is preventing many of our children from taking classes, KoreKloud is providing elementary and middle school students with free courses in varying subjects. They will be running multiple fall programs: Algebra 1, Intro to Spanish, Econ & Finance, Coding, etc.

Free Debate Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide students the fundamentals of debate, specifically focusing on

Lincoln Douglas debate. At the end of the course, students will learn how competitive debate works and

participate in a mock round. Our sessions will help you improve your public speaking and argumentation

skills. This session can be taken by students without any prior debate experience. If you are one who is keen to be a Student Leader or possess leadership skills, come and take the plunge right away!

When: September 8-10 and September 15-17 2020 (6 sessions)

Who: Ages 10 to 15 Years

Time: 3 PM - 4 PM PST  | 6 PM - 7 PM EST Class (1 hr sessions)
